What do you need for a custom packaging quote?

Prepare a brief that lets suppliers quote the same specification.

Start with the product and quantity

Describe the product, packed weight or fill weight, approximate dimensions, and quantity per size and design. A total quantity without the number of artwork versions can hide important setup differences.

Define the package and artwork

Identify the box, bag, pouch, card or label format. Share approximate dimensions with units, print coverage, number of printed sides and finish preferences. If the format is undecided, describe the packing and delivery problem instead.

Clarify sampling and timing

State what the sample needs to verify: structure, fit, printed color, sealing or a specific finish. Include your launch window and delivery country. Production timing should be confirmed against the final specification and approvals; shipping is a separate part of the plan.

Compare quotations on the same basis

Ask suppliers to separate tooling or setup, samples, production, packing and freight where applicable. Confirm the quoted specification, quantity per design, delivery basis, payment conditions and quotation validity in writing.
